Dr. Gregg Veneklasen, owner, is a 1983 graduate of Colorado State University. He was the resident veterinarian at 3-D Ranch in Canadian, Texas from 1983-1986, moving on to be the resident veterinarian at Fulton Ranch in Giddings, Texas until establishing Timber Creek Veterinary Hospital in 1989.

Dr. Veneklasen is also a highly recognized doctor in equine reproduction. Dr. Veneklasen is a member of AVMA, American Association of Equine Practitioners, TVMA, Society for Theriogenology, American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians, American Embryo Transfer Association and International Embryo Transfer Society. He was awarded TVMDL Diagnostician of the year award in 1999, and has been involved in wildlife rehabilitation for over 25 years.
